Baskets on bikes are awesome, and cargo nets are a great way to keep stuff from ejecting mid-ride. Cargo nets tend to come with 4 identical hooks. These hooks are great at being easy-on... but they're also great at being easy-off. As soon as you release tension on the cargo net, it's a bit ambiguous which corners are going to release from your basket.
These Cargo Net Clips are a nice little upgrade for your cargo net. Installation is super simple:
Remove both hooks from one side of your cargo net (wiggle the net cord free from the hooks)
Replace these hooks with your brand new net clips! Slide the net cord into the side that doesn't have a lead-in.
Use the side of the hooks that does have a lead-in to clip the net into place on your basket.
Once you've made this swap, this side of your cargo net will stay in place, even when the net is not under tension. This makes it easy to have a default side for access so you don't have to fumble around each time you're using your basket. We like to clip the back of the net into place and leave the front with the default easy-off hooks - but you do you!
If you want to un-clip the hooks from the basket (ever use your cargo net anchored at just two diagonal corners for extra capacity?), we recommend twisting the hook instead of just trying to push it off. Either way will work, but the twist is easier.
We designed these hooks for use on Wald baskets because that's what we've got on hand. For reference, they're designed to clip securely onto a basket rail that's ~5mm OD. If you run these successfully on a different basket, let us know and we'll add it to the list of known compatibility:

Jack the Bike Rack
Works on the under-rack rails. Looser fitment than on the Walds, but the clips will stay put.
These hooks are part of the Studio Line, which means they are made in-house at GPHQ in San Francisco. They're printed in ASA, a thermoplastic that performs quite well with regards to both impact resistance and UV stability.
Note: Rainbow clips are printed with a rainbow gradient filament. As such, different clips may have different color transitions! That's part of the fun :)
After installing the cargo net clips the net was so much easier to use. I found myself opening and closing it one handed, and even unclipping it to tuck a new item in the basket properly instead of just trying to wedge it in however it would fit under the net.
These work better than when I tried using small s-biners to clip a net in place because these don't rattle when the net is loose.
Bonus points for the hot pink color. I'll be getting more of these for my other bikes, I'd be excited if they came in highviz green, or olive green. or a camo/tiedye mix of the two.
